Saltmarsh Studio works on flats and small houses in central Brighton, much of it inside Regency and Victorian buildings that have been divided up over the years. A typical project is a full internal renovation: rethinking a cramped plan, bringing daylight further into the flat, adding storage that does not swallow the rooms, and repairing original features where they survive. We do a lot of the interior design as well as the drawings, which suits projects at this scale. We are used to leasehold constraints, freeholder consents and the practicalities of building work in a busy street.
