Quarry Field Studio designs extensions and renovations for houses in north and west Oxford, much of it within conservation areas. We are used to the local rules and to the character of these streets: brick, slate, generous gardens and a fair amount of scrutiny from neighbours. Our work tends to be measured rather than dramatic, adding light and a better plan without changing what the house looks like from the road. We also take on interior projects where a house needs reorganising more than enlarging. Every project starts with a survey and a feasibility stage so the scope is agreed before drawings begin.
