Northbank Studio is a two-person practice in Hackney working on side-return extensions, loft conversions and interior reworks across east London. Most of our projects sit in the middle of the market: a family that needs one more bedroom and a kitchen that works, rather than a wholesale rebuild. We are straightforward about cost early on, because there is no point drawing something that cannot be built. We like plywood, brick and daylight, and we design around how a household actually moves through a house. We handle planning and building regulations ourselves and can stay on for site visits during the build.
