Millgate Architecture works on the Victorian and Edwardian housing stock of south Manchester — Didsbury, Chorlton, Withington and the streets between them. Extensions, loft conversions and full renovations make up almost all of our work. These are generous houses with poor plans at the back, and most of our projects are about fixing that: better daylight, a proper connection to the garden, and rooms that suit how people live now. We work in brick and slate to match what is already there rather than fighting it. We handle planning and building regulations and visit site regularly during construction.
