Flint & Fold is a Hove practice working across Brighton, Hove and the villages under the Downs. We design extensions and whole-house renovations, and occasionally a new house where a plot allows it. Local materials interest us — flint, timber, render — and so does building well enough that a house needs very little heating. We are honest that this costs more at the outset and worth discussing early rather than late. Many of our projects sit within conservation areas or close to the National Park boundary, so we spend time on the planning case as well as the design itself.
